MR. BRASOV
Garageholder Brasov is 65 years old and lives and works on Copsa’s main street. He used to have a high-ranked job at the Carbon factory. After its close-down however, he has been struggling to make ends meet at his garage. Most of the cars repaired here are intended to be for relatives and friends. Despite the changes in Copsa, Mr. Brasov rather looks back at the good old days of Ceausescu.

ION
Ion Stefanescu is a 56 year old former employee of the Carbosin factory where he has worked almost all his life. He used to be a supervisor and has helped building the heavily polluting factory. After Carbosin was forced to shut down he has spent his days at the working place of the garage of Mr. Brasov, mostly repairing old Dacia’s. In 2007 Ion is finally retired, although he continues his car repairing business at home, in his own backyard.

MR. ROTARU
Mr. Rotaru is 61 years old and leader of the large Roma community in Copsa Mica. He used to work at the Sometra factory for many years, just like the majority of the Roma worked at both the Sometra and Carbosin factory because of the low paid and unskilled dirty work. For a long period of time Mr. Rotaru was depending for his income only on his own vegetable garden, until the election of Dudu.
